My work as a therapist with teens and parents is based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an evidence-based therapy method. We work together to discover and uncover how you want to live your life and explore the next steps in this process. For families, this often looks like noticing patterns, practicing compassion, and unsticking from what is holding your back.
I have worked with teens and children in many capacities professionally, including teaching public and private school, directing plays, teaching yoga classes, and as therapist. I find these perspectives help me better understand more of where life happens for families. I hold the belief that therapy is meant to support these environments and help us find meaning and direction as we move in them.
I have experience working with diagnoses including Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Mood Disorders, and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. I have experience in individual, parent, and group sessions and enjoy engaging with others actively in all of these modalities.
As a therapist I value creating a space that is safe, compassionate, authentic, and fun. I tailor therapy to your interests and values in life. Sessions with me are a combination of listening and observing as well as activity and doing. I am here to help create a place where you can dig deep, live well, and move towards what matters most to you.
