I’m passionate about creating a safe and non-judgmental space for my clients. My approach to therapy is collaborative, empowering individuals to become active participants in their journey to becoming the best version of themselves. I primarily utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which emphasizes staying connected to your values and goals, even when confronted with obstacles or painful emotions. I also have experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, and Parent-Child Interactive Therapy for Selective Mutism.
Background:
I graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master’s in Business Administration. As an active-duty service member in the Air Force, I have worked as an alcohol and drug counselor and mental health technician since 2013. My experience includes providing individual and group therapy-in person and via telehealth-in outpatient behavioral health and integrated primary care settings. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in clinical psychology at The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Throughout this program, I have gained additional experience working with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors, Selective Mutism, and Hoarding Disorders during clinical rotations at the Behavior Therapy Center of Greater Washington and the Child Guidance Clinic at the D.C. Superior Courts. I have worked with diverse populations, ranging from children to older adults, and across various cultures and identities. I aim to provide support that is both effective and sensitive to the complexities of each person’s lived experience.
